The Word made Flesh

John 1:14

“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”

I went to church today and saw this scripture and it hit home for me. “The Word made flesh…” I’m taking it out of context but that’s how I feel as an actor (singer as well). I take the words and present my self as the person’s vessel to communicate their needs. Character sounds too much like caricature. What we do is extremely important in society. We show people in society how they are.

When you think of acting (and lyrics), this truth has great responsibility. It’s funny, sad, exhilarating, honest, gorgeous, beautiful, painful, and fruitful.

Acting and Music is not for the faint of heart. I pray that I don’t faint (or travel my life and end up with a cold heart). It’s an honest betrayal of people who I have to respect no matter their walk of life. God help me in my task(s) in every way.

Merry Christmas 12.25.2012

Merry Christmas!

As I was listening to my parent’s angry music this morning called an argument about dinner for guests, I have never felt more blessed, humbled, happy, and joyful! This has been a tumultuous year. Broke most of the time these past few years, I’ve had to barely scrape by. I recalled in years past when I was able to buy Christmas gifts and recalled what I was able to do. My folks and I talked about it. However, I have never been happier. To say the least, I’m so glad to have both parents this Christmas doing reasonably well. Mom is walking with a cane sometimes and dad has finally stated that his hip was hurting somewhat.

I love them both dearly so their angry music is sweet to my ears. I’ve hugged on the parent’s poodle, Tony, a little more than usual after losing my cat, Mozart, this month. He even seems a bit more somber or mature. He doesn’t bark as much anymore, of course, this causes me to want him around more. lol

I have a lot to be thankful for when the year just seemed so hard and tedious. I hope to work smart in the following days, months, and years ahead. More than anything, I’m glad to be happy. It’s not elusive. It’s obtainable. Christ is a big help for me here.

Blessings to us all! Be well, Be thankful, and God Help Us Everyone!

Getting into the Holiday Spirit

Terry Daniels has an annual holiday greeting going on. I think that it’s sorta catchy.

The holiday season has already began. However, I hope that this season brings lots of smiles and joy.

Enjoy and have a hot chocolate for me!
