The Star Spangled Banner by Jimi Hendrix in honor of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday. May both rest in peace.
Discovered that Jimi’s mom was Lucille Jeter and his dad Al Hendrix was stationed at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma. Coincidence indeed.
The poem was written by Francis Scott Key and the tune by John Stafford Smith. Just so that no one gets it twisted. Jimi’s version with the exception of Whitney Houston’s RIP is preferred. 😉 Enjoy the day.
