“There Will Come Soft Rains” from Ray Bradbury’s The Martian Chronicles read by Leonard Nimoy (RIP)

I was just introduced to the short story read by Leonard Nimoy. He died yesterday on February 27, 2015.

I had a chance meeting with Mr. and Mrs. Nimoy in NYC crossing an intersection at Washington Square Park and W4th Street. I was a student at NYU and it was the summer of 2002 or ’03.

I got to say in 5 seconds that I enjoyed his work. His wife smiled at him as he smiled. I kept walking. You see many famous people walking the streets of NYC. I didn’t know he did a short story (audiobook) on a record until now. Remember records? lol I posted how much that I loved the poem although it’s about devastation. It’s a sad poem and the choral music fits perfectly. I purchased it this year for my choir in SAB from JW Pepper. #sciencefiction #audiobooks #choralmusic #poetry
