‘Twas the Night Before Christmas…

…and I’m finally auditioning for audiobooks! lol

Welcome back to visit my site! I’ve written even less than I normally do since I’ve worked more and more. If you’re visiting for the first time, I’m Kim Geter, owner of Geter Voice Over Services! I multi-task in Atlanta, GA doing choral music and acting for P-12 students. As a talent, I own a voice over biz and audition for my union agents in Atlanta and audition for audiobooks. I’ve just now started auditioning in audiobooks so I’m happy to indulge in all of my foibles and successes, hopefully more of the latter than the former.

More than anything for the new year, I want safety and health for myself and for my family and friends, happiness within, and joy with others in my work with people in my work.

I’ll stop recording by late afternoon to join in more holiday festivities! So, have a wonderful, happy, safe, and merry holiday to you and yours!

Cheers to the New Year!

How to Find the Perfect Day Job

Happy New Year!

I came across an article in Backstage that really hit home for me. The bottom line is this: Why should your day job interfere with your own performing gigs. Do they? Why or why not?

Check out the article below. Maybe you agree or disagree. Truth be told, my experiences give me a rich varied set of skills that acting alone could not offer. My music led me to acting. Maybe I’ll share my story in another blog entry. What say you? My hope is that there are responses to this article. Written by Erin Cronican on January 4, 2013. Whew…2013 has arrived!
